Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest ”Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU  WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.  ”For My  yoke is easy  and My burden is light.”

  • took the words right outta my mouth.  thx 4 the scripture.  i’m in desperate need of it right now

  • Amen to that.

  • Hooray you’re done! And the scripture is exactly what I need after this week too, as you know.  There is a song Terry McAlmon does on one of his albums that has these words in it.  bendigas, Gerrie

  • Ah……….relishing the Word……..thank you for the reminder that we need to stop carrying the load! Its HIS! I am taking online courses as well…I so know the feeling….what are you studying? (oh…and I am new to this blogring…um…40 years young…I think…lol)

  • that was a lovely post..reminds me of the song.. “and HE said cast ur burden upon me, those who are heavily laden.. come to me and i will give you rest…”

  • The tower IS my house!

  • I liked your other profile pic! :) Don’t tell me you’re like me, needing to escape into the night so no one will see you?

  • You’re definitely right about the relaxing thing. That particular coffee-cup/ half-n-half pic is that. I use half-n-half in my tea, and that is one of my “comfort foods.”

    Plus I like the colors.

  • Are you going to school online? I am doing my bridge to RN through the mail.

  • Missouri doesn’t have to have CEU’s for nurses. YET

  • Sounds like you really need some rest Brother….take it easy now….May God Bless You….Mike

  • Thank you for the comment:) I will certainly peruse her site when time permits!

  • Hope you were/are able to rest…

    A hug,

    Lucy

  • Me again, sorry:) How DID you determine I lived in Michigan? LOL Wonder what your first clue was….eh? the fudgies, the Locks, or the Lakes?? :)

  • OH, well that makes it sort of like…cheating? j/k…so…are you a Yooper, or a Troll? lol

  • Just for you, I’ll try to come up with some more poetry.

Well, I lie. I enjoy coming up with poetry. Maybe it’s time for a group effort again.

  • What do you mean ‘what kind of question is that’?!!!? Surely you know why I would ask:)

  • Another GOOD NEWSer

  • I keep forgetting to check with Eric. I’ll do that now.

  • Nope, he doesn’t know. Same as the rest of us…went to her site, it was shut down…

  • enjoy the weekend then!

  • Hmmm. Decisions, decisions. Do I post here or on the chatboard? Hmmm. Now, what did I want to say?

Thanks for your comment:) And I hope work is over for a week. I’m to the point where I don’t care if I get my final check or not, I just want to “step away slowly and gracefully, so as not to startle that predatory animal” then run like….well, a roadrunner!

  • “when the rain comes..” I really like it!!

    Have a blessed weekend…

    A superhug,

    lucy

  • I know what you mean. I’m on an all nighter right now. Well, I’m getting paid for it…. a little. LOL.

  • I sure could do some rest.

    Heather

  • hey jim!  thanks for you comment.  I haven’t come up with any music or it yet.  I haven’t tried.  I will soon.  I’m scared I won’t get anything that sounds good, haha, fear of failure keeps me procrastinating!  I will do it soon!  my friend would be dissapointed if I didn’t come up with anything lovely tho but hopefully i will…I just find it hard to write music to already written words..i like it the other way around. ~heather
