Spring Comes
with sweetened breath
dispelling death
Spring comes
enticing
with fragrant hair
and greening wear
and whispers
”Death is gone
today the dawn
of life is gi’en to all.”
The world in bloom
decries the doom
of weary days
and hopeless haze
of fear.
Christ comes (alive)
calling
Oh, so sweetly
and says
”Life is near
for all who hear
and ask to take it in.”
Jesus, bedecked in joy
offers the spring
the life
the healing heart.
Spring comes.

Jesus answered, “…whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.
Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
John 4: 14

Beautiful Jim!
Great poem and flowers!! Have a great weekend….Mike
Sweet!
And is that a new grandbaby?
I worked on a tele floor yesterday, and remembered why I knew I’d never do ICU. Beeping monitors. Took me a while to figure out the flowsheet. One patient had to chest tubes after CT surgery. How you guys do it, I don’t know, but I think I’ll leave it all to you!
Hi Jim! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your encouragement. I wholeheartedly agree. I love your poem here – especially since spring is my favorite season. You’ve touched on a number of reasons in this as to why it is.
Praying you’ll have a wonderful week.
Very nice poem! Have a good week, Peace, Mike.
Thanks Bro for the encouraging words today…just camped outside on the porch and snapped away when the hummingbirds came to eat….Have a very blessed day today….Mike

It wouldn’t let me comment at first. That baby picture, is that a new grandchild?
Beautiful spring. New things.
Thank you for your comment.
I’ll write more about the homeless next time.
I always like reading your poetry, but a question coms to mind: why does the last stanza have a different rhyme scheme? It works well with the poem, it is just different.
RYC: Excellent.
I’m sorry that I’ve been MIA for so long. Last day of school ~ this past Fri., so my schedule is lightening up!
I always am blessed by reading your posts… so I did just that! I read back several, and appreciate the messages, the poems, and the pictures and the work that you and other brothers & sisters in Christ have been doing. I’ll try to get by more often this summer while I’m on break. (BTW – is the profile picture a grandbaby? Adorable!!
~ Blessings to you and yours. . . Carolyn
@JusticeMom - ryc: yep..he’s one of two (Braden and his sister, Emma) born to my son and his wife Dec. 19th.
I love this poem. For me, before I got saved, spring was bittersweet – it made me sad as everything seemed to teem with life but me. Since I found Jesus, I ahve a great appreciation for the life springing forth.
Heather

Hope all is well with you and your family.
