My Summer…cont’d
As May faded and June began, Rachel got on a plane
and returned home from Ghana,
where she works with YWAM.
She arrived at Detroit Metro Airport
to live and work in missions for the summer.
They met in the airport, and had lunch
before they parted ways again.
More of the “Summer Story” later…
I had to share this..let it amuse, refresh and delight you,
as it did me, for a soothing moment in your week.
(remember to “turn off” the music player on the left side of my page
by clicking “stop”)

Awesome! Watching it just before I leave for work is a nice way to start my day! Have a great, blessed day! Gerrie
Great!! Thanks….Mike
that was wonderful…as well as your “summer vacation”…Smile
That is sooooo cool!
Love your story with pictures:) ryc: No, I’m not a “convert”… most of what I do with a computer can be done on either machine. Some things are easier on a mac, and some things are easier on a PC. I like my fujitsu PC laptop, I only got this to be compatible with the district things…and to make sure I know how to do things on the mac BEFORE I try to do it in front of the kids (like running a video with a projector attachment).
wow… awesome! i wish i know how to do those! haha
Very nice, Jim! I sure enjoyed the video. Amazing that hands can be made to look like people and animals!

Those are sure amazing young women you’ve raised for the Lord
Those are great pictures and that video was soooo cool! I’ve never seen that before.
That was beautiful! and yes Brother Jim, I am sure you will enjoy to know more about this wonderful man named Shadhu Sunder Singh. It will be a treat to your personal conviction that God is still active in the world in the midst of us.
really liked the updates. Visited the bookstore on the YWAM site…..very good stuff. We have this thing here….near here, Fr Meyers Fl called “echo” – non -denom support of AGRICULTURAL missions – awesome place. Got some amazing books re- cross cultural aspects of mission; cross denominational stuff, etc. Looks similar to some of the things offered here. REALLY appreciate! you should feel proud….no greater joy….your kids are doing it, too! lots of love
Great to hear from you bro. I don’t mind at all the you use my video, in fact I am honored that you think its good enough to share. Been meaning to call you, I will try soon.
Be blessed,
Ray
ryc~ Full Moon over Crescent Bay will be uploaded soon to a Smugmug where anyone can by it..I’ll let you know.
As for Eric’s blue eyes…what picture are you refereing to?
Hi Jim, ryc: I sent you a message including the email address of the newsletter editor but realized that she might not like it that I’m giving that out to strangers…oops. So I emailed her the questions and can let you know what she says.
Hope all is well with you.

Hi Jim…I got a response re: the Cathedral story…
Hi Nancy,
Of course, that story was forwarded to me by a C&V member. I did a little internet search on it and it has been all over the internet for quite some time. There are different variations on the story, but they all have the same intent. I have no idea how to find the author.
I also did a google search on “great cathedrals of Europe” and came up with the following books. Your blog friend might check out the following.
Great Cathedrals
Bernhard Sch?tz
Great Medieval Churches and Cathedrals of Europe (Paperback)
by Jules Gailhabaud
Wow missions after missions!
I imagine you miss your daugther!
YOur poem will be up with others by the end of September!
Thanks for joining my blog! Looks like you have an amazing family!!
I think summer flew by wayyyyy tooooo quickly.
Heather
Hi Jim,
I received a comment about the cathedral story that I thought you might be interested in.. it’s from Nicole Johnson’s book “The Invisible Woman: A Special Story for Mothers.”
Have a great day!!
