    Matt and his fiancée, Kristy,

decided that they didn’t want to wait ’till October, Fall06 169

when Matt’s tour is done  princess_cruise_ship[1] (no, not that kind of tour), to get married.

So not only was I working my usual chaingang, including 12-hour shifts,

but I was involved in the kind of frantic planning (including packing for my upcoming trip to Mexicosombrero)
usually associated with preparing for a natural disaster
    volcano

The wedding was very nice, though,  blessing4a

and I gained two wonderful grandchildren WeddingpickailinShelbycrop
                                                             (Kailyn and Shelby)

and a great daughter-in-law in the process.

Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift? the fruit of the womb his generous legacy?  Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth.  Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children!
    from Psalm 127; The Message

  • Hi Jim, Thank you for your comments on my other site (C_Just_Bible). I am just now getting caught up again on so many Xanga folk (like you) . . . from this site. I love the song that you wrote out first in Spanish, then in English. I found that I remembered most of my Spanish (with some help on about 3 or 4 words that you supplied for us. ) And what great happenings! Congratulations to Matt & Kristy and their children. Congrats to you, as well with the additions to your family. Blessings on your weekend! Your sister in Christ ~ Carolyn

  • Blessings on your new family!
I luv the picture of all of them in prayer at the altar

  • Praise God that your family is growing:) So now eventually if they choose, they can have a household of “yours, mine, and ours” and then you’d have FIVE grandchildren:):) God bless, Gerrie

  • thanks for your comments. also wanted to congratulate you and your family on the spontaneous wedding!

  • Congratulations!

I love that passage from Psalms. Children are one of the best possible blessings!

    Have a great weekend!

BTW:…… I read your xanga here, and you must be so proud of your son? Our Son is in Iraq right now. We never hear from him, but we are sending him letters and stuff and praying for him and his troop up there everyday

  • Congratulations on all the family doings!

RYC: Yes, indeed, Jim, as in the end of that quote, it can seem most ordinary. That’s how I would describe “entering the stillness” which is something I experience often, many time for a brief moment, but tangible enough to know, to hear, “I’m here now,” and sense the smile and love behind the words.

  • Thank you for your kind words.

I would love to hear about Matt’s adventure upon his arrival

    God Bless
