  • I feel like the office coworker who constantly shoves photos of
    his/her dog/cat/baby etc., in your face…but…..

well, the fact is, I’ve been trying to post this definitely home-quality video for about three months now,
and I finally figured out, a) my video software, b) the YouTube upload requirements, and c) the vagaries of embedding a video in a Xanga blog..so here it is; my daughter Noelle, and her friend, Hannah, in a dance they choreographed and performed at church for Christmas (’05), to Erin O’Donnel’s rendition of
    “Mary, Did You Know?”
*(as always with these things, you’ll want to “Stop” my musicplayer, on the left,
    before you start the video.)

“ Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.  Let them praise his name in the dance: Let them sing praises unto him with timbrel and harp.  For The Lord takes pleasure in his people: He will beautify the humble with salvation.  Let the saints exult in glory: Let them sing for joy upon their beds. ” Psalm 149:1-5

Oh, Lord my God who rescues me,
I dance to praise Your Name
With all my heart and being, Lord
I’ll tell your works and fame.

May all the world so praise You
With feet and hearts and hands
    And joyful souls proclaim You
    In all Your countless lands.

  • awesome!  Very talented girls you have there jim

  • I know how it blessed your father’s heart to see your daughter dancing for the Lord!

  • Such a beautiful, worshipful song, and it was beautifully interpreted by the choreography and performance of it by Noelle and Hannah. Please don’t ever feel badly about sharing any or all pictures of your precious family. You should be thrilled and blessed to see your children worshiping the Lord through the gifts He has given to them. Blessings to you ~ have a great week! ~ Carolyn

  • This is only the second time I’ve ever seen sacred dance. I was surprised to find myself with feelings that have no words, about 2/3 of the way through it. It’s the same feeling I get when the spirit moves me during prayer or worship, and yet with no words this time. Almost like butterflies or goosebumps. God bless her, I’ve read Noelle’s blogs and she definitely has a heart for God and her head “screwed on straight.” Hannah must also, for her dance was equal to Noelle’s of course. in Him, Gerrie

  • In the interest of time I saw your question and decided to answer…No, the rabies shots are in the arm now, thank goodness!

  • I know Jim…It is so heartbreaking to see all of the turmoil in other countries.  My heart aches for these poor precious people.  But God in His infinite mercy and grace is going to get all the Glory for everything that these men and women do for Him and I just pray that we here in America will not be left ashamed and embarrassed.  Your love for them and me is quite evident.  God bless you Jim and thanks for all of the help you gave me on my music scale.  You’re the best as far as I’m concerned.

    Your Brother in Christ,

    Joe

  • That was beautiful! And it’s a beautiful church as well.

  • Dear Brother Jim, I did enjoy the video, it was great!

I thank you for praying for us!  I have found great strength in knowing that many of God’s children are praying for me.  This time I went to Nepal to prepare for our final retun in coming June or July.  The Lord was with us this time and we are sure He will be there when we all go back to Nepal.  There were times of not knowing any other believers outside of our fellowship in Nepal, but now what a joy to know people like you.  Thank you for offering your help in our ministry, and looking at your children (specially Rachel) I know God has blessed you.  May be someday Rachel will come to Nepal!  Yes, we need all available help of christian brothers and sisters to win our heathen nation to the Lord.  Please keep praying for us.  This time I saw how some of our young people cannot go to school due to the poverty, and how we wish that there would be some ways for some of them to go to school.  I don’t mind to see the adult struggling to make a living, but to see these children not go to school makes my heart cry.  Four years ago these children were so small, but now are grown up to be young and strong but without a schooling.  This time I asked the church leaders to find some ways in which we can help them out in joining school.  Also we saw the women of the church having no job.  We are trying to help them to learn sweing and cooking so that they can do something to lift up their living standard.  Apart from that we are also giving dedicated people biblical training so that they will be able to go back to their villages and start churches.  These are a few of the things we are involved with and we need your prayers so very much.  May the Lord bless you my friend! BR

  • Thank you for sharing as you did on my site. 1- I am blessed that God was able to use my words to encourage you.     2 – I went over to Brother BR’s site, and got caught up on his posts. He is a tremendous blessing, such a man of God. Yes, we definitely need to pray for the country of Nepal. I agreed with your comments to him, too. This country of ours needs revival so badly. God bless you, & give you a week full of His peace in every situation in which you find yourself. In Christ alone ~ Carolyn

  • No wonder she dances! Dance, dance! The Lord of the dance is he…..wonderful

  • “…Isn’t this the pattern of the incarnation, after all? God did not come incarnate as an overpowering omnipotent-appearing (to the casual observer, any way) King, but as a flesh-bound man; the servant King…one of us.

What a difference in the cosmology of God…”

awesome jim. thanks for your thoughts!

  • ryc: similar story. My first PC was (I think) a 16MHz 386 with 1 meg or RAM. I went with the big hard drive, but figured I’d never fill it – that was 105mb. My how times change. It’s maybe a great metaphor for life in general, eh? Not sure what to say about my songs – are you using the actual MP3 files or are they attached somehow to the web links? Those are M3U – a different animal altogether…

  • ryc: I’m stumped then. Can you make use of the MP3 files? You’re welcome to DL them and use them if you’d like…

  • Our dial-up is sloooooooooowwwwwww. I wish we could have seen it!

We have been so cold! It sounds like you have too. Where are you living? Have a great week, Peace!

  • Your children (and you!) are awesome Jim! I appreciate the link you left at LaleoCafe to Noell’s blog. She is wise beyong her years! God bless you my friend!

  • Huh….I came over to say something and forgot what it was…..so,……later.

  • RYC: Kidding or not, right now it feels like it is……I am fighting against the “helper and fixer” in me right now that wants to agree to stay on this assignment to help out, and I may agree to a couple days a week even after the end of Feb, but I keep praying for wisdom!!!!! And wisdom says I’m not just being a wimp; I need a break!

  • Hey Jim…

Good to hear from you. Sorry I haven’t been around for much of the time the last month or so. We are about unpacked.. or at least I think we are. I can get back to writing more as I have the opportunity. Thanks for stopping by and adding such greate commentary. You are appreciated my friend.

    Phil

  • Ah Jim, you’ve done it again. Lovely poem. And the dance was sweet. Thank you for sharing it with us. We’re finally enjoying double digit temperatures here in northern Indiana. How about you?

  • Praying just now for you as I am reviewing the comments on my site. I pray that God is filling you with His peace and rest. Have a great weekend… Carolyn

  • Hi Jim!
Noelle and her friend had an inspired dance! That would be impossible in my church (I guess, since I don’t go to a mass since… ages…) But it’s Catholic Apostolic Roman. It’s a pity since, if God gave us this wonderful body, it can’t offend him to use it to pray…
Thank you for your visit (1/17/2007). I know I’m late, but better late… =)
Your children are great, thank you for sharing!
They will make a difference in this hard world!
Bless you! Have a great life!
    Felicidades!
    Isabel

  • Hi Jim,

I really enjoyed that.  So how have you been doing?  Still busy as usual on weekend?  I liked your song you have, and still enjoy my list of songs you put up for me.  I wouldn’t have had that unless you helped me.  I know you should let me give you something for it.  It would be my pleasure Jim.  Hope to hear from you soon my friend.

    God bless you,

    Joe

  • Hey Joe,

Just dropping in to say Hi.

Hope you have a prosporus trip.

    Be blessed,

    Ray

  • Thanks for the encouragement, Jim! I’d certainly welcome any stories, idea, or suggestions. My wife and I have agreed to both go back to college and of course I want to work towards nursing. It would be cool to know what to expect as I’m working my way up through the ranks, especially in way of schedules, etc. She’s afraid she’ll never see me again because of all the school and then a possibly crazy work schedule!

  • Happy Valentine’s Day!

    God bless!

    Connie

  • Happy Valentines day Jim.
