Thanks
Oh, the untold grace of God !
To reach someone like me!
With gentle hand
His patient plan
Pursues to set me free!
The more I see my depth of sin
the more I understand
That I cannot set free myself;
A sin-scarred, broken man.
I’ve failed His law
So many ways,
Account I ne’er could take;
Much less could I,
Of human frame
Atonement for these make.
Yet He Who holiness defines,
With greater heart than I,
Has in His love
Wiped clean the slate
By giving Christ to die.
Each day I see anew His care
And each day need that grace.
Oh for the day
My soul is freed
To see Him face to face!
For untold debt of sin atoned,
For joy in darkened days,
Eternity’s not time enough
To thank and give Him praise!

“For if, by the trespass of the one man,
death reigned through that one man,
how much more will those who receive
God‘s abundant provision of grace
and of the gift of righteousness reign in life
through the one man, Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 5:17)
”Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom
we have now received reconciliation.” (Rom. 5:11)

I wanted to let you know your comment on my last post was very important to me. Sometimes when I get weary I begin to wonder if I should be pouring so much effort into xanga. Then someone says something like what you said out of the blue. I just wanted to tell you I appreciate you and the things you said. Thank you.
Once again, Jim, you have created a masterpiece! Oneday I hope to write as reflectively and well as you do.

awesome! btw, the verse we were thinking of the other day was Romans 6:1 “What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?” I couldn’t remember the exact reference! Have a great one.
joy in darkened days, I like that. Nice background.
Another poem that kinda “says it all”… you have a heart for the Lord that comes through every poem you write. I’m so thankful and honored to call you my brother. in Him, Gerrie
Hi! Jim, you got a great site. jumped in here from a blogring, am subscribing and hope you don’t mind. BR
Hi, I really enjoy reading your poems, they are great reminders of truth from the Bible.
I am just curious, if I wanted to print out a poem to share with people, is this ok? I would be giving you the credit, of course, but I don’t want to print one if you don’t want that.
Thanks! and God Bless, Martha
Love that song… God’s world is awesome…over 300,000 species of beatles…Does thast bug you? LOL!
What magnificent color!
RYC: Thanks much. Appreciate you
RYC: yeah, I never could deal with a cluttered desk. In fact, when I went to do that take-home test…I spent about 45 minutes making myself a little “clean sanctuary” so I could concentrate better! Maybe I’m wierd.
p.s. It’s good to know people actually read those quotes!
Good one! Enjoyed it very much. Have a nice day!
Hi Jim – RYC – I also grew up in Michigan, Livonia, outside of Detroit. Ann Arbor’s a great city. Have a good weekend.

RYC: Yes, styles change but we’re still the same fallen race we’ve been almost since the beginning. We seem to think so highly of ourselves – “we’re so technologically advanced, we know so much, blah blah blah.” I suspect if we could listen in on Noah’s neighbors we’d be hearing much the same conversation we hear today. “We’ve got this sussed. The barns are full and we’re set for the winter. Now let’s party like it’s 1999 BC! God? Aww, don’t worry about God – we’re cool with Him, and He’s cool with us. Now Noah… there’s a nutcase…”
BTW – I love the tree in your current profile pic. Gorgeous.
Excellent poem, Jim. It sure “tells us like it is” about the way we humans are! I think everyone can relate to that.
RYC: You were already on the list. I think clicking on the “protected post” tab where you read your subscriptions will work. Let me know if you still can’t fine me!
Have a wonderful weekend.

To see Him face to face!
It is important to me to never grow so complacent so complacent that I don’t see God’s grace anew every single day. Thank you for sharing your creations from the heart! God bless!
