I Will Not Rhyme Today
“I will not rhyme today”,
I said.
But words keep creeping
through my head.
They dance in there
with meter’d rhyme,
And prance about
while keeping time.
The rhythm seems
not set by me ,
But has it’s own
vitality:
And when I set on
other things
The poem inside my head
still rings..
(despair not for my plight; I’m at work today…words of hope to come)
