Saint Patrick (from CatholicOnline – www.Catholic.org)

Saint Patrick
Thank you for the comment on my site. The one word truly said it all, and is therefore sufficient:) Gerrie
Top o’ the mornin’ to ye!
Thank you for this post. It’s wonderful. And the poem brought tears to my eyes. I want to be just like that.
And that, my friends, is why the Church celebrates the Saints, to give people examples to follow in the love and trust of God. To show how much can be done by a soul in love with it’s Creator, and in harmony with Him.
Jim, the poem is marvelous. I love it.
Seemed just perfect to me already!
Very appropriate lesson for today, I always like to read about St Patrick, thanks,
Mike
Thank you so much.
He is my confirmation St. Believe it or not.
Twer a most beautiful post especially the last few lines and the peom.
Being of the Irish meself, brought tears to me eyes.
Just read your answer to my questions re: the Irish name.
Aye! An’ now ah’d truly like ta see the pic to go with the words and the names!
Seems there be a mispelt werd im me post. poem hahahahah
Sorry lassy, Iffn you be refferrn ta me, I have no pics but the maiden name is Donnelly

I tried emailing the info to you but for some reason the email came back to me sayin unsuccessful. I’ll try again tonite, and then again in the morning. Until then, I pray my xanga page comes back up. lol Have a blessed nite!
HI Jim. Interesting info on St. Patrick.
Larry
I goofed and posted this on Breath of Dawn’s sight and meant it for you. I listened to Stones and Sea…it’s beautiful and I love the lady’s voice, it’s so similar to Enya. And the guitar work is beautiful too…harmonies floated in my head as I listened….Thank you so much. in Him, Gerrie
Thanks for your kind words.
I could return the same to you. Kindness is in your eyes as well as in your words. You’re right about thumbnails. They do distort things. I really hate having my picture taken. Always have. No one’s likely to see more than a thumbnail of me.
Dancing Irish eye’s I see in yours too
I didn’t realize how Irish my eyes were until I took a pic of one of them alone. Thank you for yielding….it’s good to put a face to the words.
Ooohhh, I don’t hear the music unless I open the site in Internet Explorer, but I really like Enya’s voice, too. I wonder if it’s Loreena McKinnet, if I’ve got her name right.
OK, now I can hear the music. I think she sounds like Dana. Definitely not Loreena McKennett. (I just know I’m spelling this girl’s name wrong).
I wanted to say thanks, too, for the link to the other music. It is pretty. I’ve never actually listened to Gaelic or Celtic music and I’ve never been sure enough I’d like it to get any of it, so………………now I know
Ha ha
I was just over at an apparently mutual friend’s place and ran into you there. Check out my score. Not a bit surprised.Yikes! I think I’m about to become labeled a spammer….
Thank you for sharing the story of St. Patrick, I had no idea until now who he was or why we even celebrate St. Patricks day. It’s good to know though that St. Patricks day is a day to remember a servant of God! God bless you Jim!
Looks like the world is still awake! So you must be getting ready for work? I’m winding down. I’m glad I’ll be going to 12 hr days, since I’ve been up at the crack of dawn lately. Guess that means I better hit the sack for a few hours of shut eye.
I think they’re being very cautious trying not to let me do doubles this weekend. They know I’m wound up like a very tight spring right now and they don’t want to snap me.
Sorry. P is for protected.
ps. Cool new profile pic.
Good to “see” you Jim!!!
Thank you for your comment…I always feel like we get cought up in everything else and miss the “essential” trying hard not to…
I’m late for St Patrick but, happy St Patrick Day after..

Have a very blessed weekend..
A hug,
lucy
Wow, that was interesting!
Just commented on Noelle’s site again. I read the last comment there and just couldn’t stand it anymore, I HAD to say something! Godless philosophy is just so amazingly convoluted. God bless your day:)
You always looked a bit Irish to me!
And the rest of the day to yourself, me lad!
Is this Mary McDonnell?
thanks…your comment was very encouraging and probably put into words what I’m going through…in terms of strengthening through the cycles.
RYC on my post: When you said: That would be to say that the problem with a pure dualistic view of the good vs. evil debate is flawed in that tends to place evil, either implicitly or even explicitly sometimes, as an equal counterpoint to God. You have a way of cutting to the chase and getting to the heart of the matter. And in less words:) Gotta run to work now … I’m hoping to not stay much past noon my time! I’ll check email in my classroom tho (they don’t let us on Xanga). God bless your day:)
thanks for the comment.. i’m glad everything worked out too.. thanks, i like to write poetry on occasion.. it’s tough sometimes though, because i haven’t become good enough to write at any given moment, there has to be a certain mood there.. maybe one day.. lol
VERY interesting post.. i love reading about saints and other things Catholic-esque.. although i am not truely Catholic, i love the Catholic beliefs, and i have similiar beliefs with the Catholic denomination, but i follow most closely with Methodist, of which i was born and raised to believe.. anyway, keep up the unique posts..
love through Christ,
liz <3
Hi! Welcome back from your missions trip – hope it went well. THanks for the story on St. Patrick. It’s a shame our country doesn’t celebrate St. Patrick instead of being Irish – ie. all the “partying”. Never heard that story on any of the news shows on Friday. I did see a movie a few years back about him though – it was a good movie.
God bless you!
*hugs* …just because.
Yours is the first religious accounting of St. Patrick I have seen today (or yesterday). Interesting story, and one that many people probably do not know. My sons were talking about St. Patrick tonight at dinner (21 and 18). They both took European History AP in high school and learned about him in that class.
Hope you had a great St. Patrick’s Day!
Kathi
I forgot to ask you if you had corned beef and cabbage? Mine turned out pretty well. We love it with horseradish!

I am not the Skip Bo champ, our friends were, had a good dinner and alot of laughs.
The Visitation is one of the better “Christian” movies I’ve seen.
Mike
Thanks for your comment on my site…I got a scathing response to my comment on Noelle’s post… so I commented again. Tell me what you think… I really don’t enjoy debate. I think I don’t have the temperament for it.
hey Jim, so thats you in your profile pic? Very nice! its cool to see you. I’d love to hear about your mission work and how it went and what your spiritual experiences were and how God was speaking to you! I Can’t wait to go, but I know God is using me here at work and even though its not my favourite place (at all) I want to be his servant and that means anywhere. blessings~heather
I’m still playing with the colors. Thanks for visiting. And I’m with April. I see your kind comments everywhere and I think the same thing. *(O)*
Dang, I had a background color like yours and now I don’t know how to get it back.
Yeah, I need to get my colors back.
I just read your reply over at your daughter’s site. Noticed Geri’s comment about the scathing comment, so of course I had to investigate
You know, you remind me a lot of Eric, well-centered, well-balanced, well-thought, respectful of all.
Good job.
Saint patricks day! One of our Irish teachers made an assignment due on that day, because it was saint patricks.
How a great week!!
Always love your choice of music..
A hug,
Lucy
Hey Jim, these are some nice recent posts here. And the music is beautiful, too. Thanks for sharing.

Blessings,
Deborah
BTW, who’s that handsome man in your profile picture?
Hi Jim….
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.. appreciate it much. Had a busy weekend, but best of all, our son is back home from China, safe and sound.
Pray you have a blessed week!
Phil
I know I’m late in reading this, but I’m new here!
This was very cool to see though. I saw something on the History Channel about this. It was very close to what you posted up in here. I’m willing to bet what you put up in here was more accurate though. On the History Channel they said the clover was to show how the 3 pedals were attached to one stem, and thus he tried to show his people that 3 people could worship one god. And they said the use of the color green on St. Patricks day was ment to represent the green hillsides of Ireland.
