Lord, when my light seems dim
shine through me with YOUR light
Father, when my voice is faint,
sing through me with your song
Oh God, when my back is weary
work through me with your power
Lord, let it be Your light
Your voice
Your power
which illuminates
calls
and helps
those who need your rest.

lovely
ps. I love the stained glass candle.
Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
I can’t wait to hear more about your trip.
Thank you for letting me know about the pictures. I love the stained glass candle, too. Where is that from? I love the poetry accompanying the pictures, too. Longing to hear more about not just what you did, but the “impact” on you, too. God bless your first “normal” week back (and I’m NOT counting the 4 shifts in a row from last week!). in Him, Gerrie
Your poetry inspires me
ryc at Laleocafe: You must be extremely proud of your daughter. I think seeing our children accept Christ through baptism is one of the greatest moments in our lives. I am going to subscribe to your site so I can get a dose of your inspiring poetry every day. By the way, great picture of you with the guitar (I assume that’s you)
God bless you!
the 4 plus, comes from giving one up for adoption when I was a teen. so, I count him, but he ain’t mine really. One of those past scar issues
I enjoy the creativity God has blessed you with, thanks,
Mike
To all: More info coming on the recent trip.
No, that’s not me on the guitar, although I DID take my guitar to play for our group worship. It’s my friend, the local pastor…”Pastor Marcos”.
The stained glass candle is from the sanctuary of my church.
blessings…Jim
thanks for the updates! The pictures go very nicely with the verses… It’s like you picked them out special for it or something.
Very nice poem and update both. I’m grateful God has given people the gift of inspiring words.
Ryc on Laleo about your daughter’s baptism and missions, I’d rather meet one person like her than all the celebrities in the world. God bless you both. in Him, Gerrie
Those are such neat pictures Jim! and I love the poetry, you have such a way of capturing the beauty of life with words! I want to see a picture of you sometime, you should put one up!! blessings ~ Heather
The pictures and the words alike are beautiful.
Yeah, me too. How about a pic to connect to the words?
my daughter is going on a missions trip to mexico in June! she’s so excited. Now a question for you, How do i get a player on my xanga?
RYC: We’d like to see a pic of the man behind the words
Am I right, you guys?
I give up; what is Mehannas?
I think everybody wants to see a picture of YOU, Jim!!! Ok, there, I’ve said it, plain and clear, and there’s no bush to beat around:) Surely one of the friends that went on the mission with you has one of you? And there’ll be no kissin’ o’ the Blarney Stone with this one, me fine friend. God bless you. Gerrie
Actually, there were three pictures taken of me with my camera on that trip; two were from the back…not much use. I tried to upload the other one, and post it, but part of the image kind of “pixilated”, or distorted, and it didn’t work. The group’s official photographer is collecting all the photos to share, and then I should have something useful.
