Now I think love is a healthy thing -
makes the spirit soar
and the heart to sing
But the healthy thing’s not the only goal

There’s something more that in the nighttime cries,
”Oh, I need someone who can give me life.”
Yes, I need love, but it needs to be
from Someone greater than you or me;
I need a Friend with the pow’r to heal
I need a lover with the love that’s real.
Now an earthly lover is not a bad thing
this kind, too, makes our heart bells ring.
Still, a human lover will someday die
or in some way fail us
or make us cry.
But the love of God’s a forever thing;
makes the spirit soar
and the heart to sing
And it never leaves us or
fades away
with it’s power to heal
each and ev’ry day.
Now I have a love that’s a healing thing;
makes my spirit soar and my heart to sing.
You see, the love that I have’s a forever thing
’cause I have the love of my God and King.

How amazingly blessed are we??? That the Creator, God himself, loves US??!! What a great reminder Jim, sometimes I just get so wrapped up in the stupid things of this world I just forget to take that in: God loves me. Truly, it’s amazing!!

Oh yes, I almost forgot to update you. I took a very strong antibiotic for 5 days, last dose was Sunday. My cough is way way better, I only cough a few times a day and not much at night either, and my sinuses are starting to clear. The right is doing nicely but the left is blocked which means I need to go see an ENT…something structural is weird. But I’m way way better and thank you so very much for your prayers. Praise God, I was getting very frustrated:) in Him, Gerrie

hey Jim, Happy Valentines day to you too a day late haha. still we can share as much love any day other than just VD right? haha. I like your rap its cool. its really amazing how God pursues us eh just like a lover does except better? he makes it really clear that he views us as his bride through most of the prophets and its VERY clear in Hosea. I preached a sermon on Hosea chapter 2 not this past sunday but the sunday before. They recorded it so I had a chance to listen to it later. Its really wierd listening to your own voice recorded eh? I always feel wierd after I listen to myself sing too cause it seems like it isn’t really me haha. anyways if you ever want to listen to the sermon I could email it to you. ~luv heather
