I saw this on heathersavage‘s site, and was so impressed, I had to share it! This young believer has as beautiful a view of God’s plan for us individually, as His people, and for his world, as I’ve ever heard articulated. Enjoy!…Jim
I went on a mission trip this summer to the maritimes to do childrens programs with a team of twelve and it was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had..this being completely part of a group of people where you belong and your heart is being ministered to by them.
It totally put into focus who God is, and what he really wants of me. that he wants me to know his heart, to sit in his arms and gaze up at his beauty in awe, to lay all my broken pieces before him in complete humility and yet with expectancy knowing that he will reach down, and pick them all up, and put me together; not the way I was, but as a new creation…
what I realized is that this being broken before the Lord does not only occur at conversion, but that it is a continual brokeness constantly letting him tear down walls. always lying prostrate before him – - allowing him to change me, to love me, to pour his grace within me so that I will always be available to then spread this blessing, this grace, this mercy and healing, to others around me,
and THIS is what living in Christian community is like.
If each person in the trusted community is willing to live like this before the Lord, then they will be able to live out of this and minister to each other…be the body of Christ, and
THEN out of this being ministered (to) by both His Spirit within ourselves; and through His Spirit through others, we can be refreshed and will be alive and ready to outreach to those around us or around the world who need this love; this water, because they have never heard or have never been cared for or loved and they are living in a parched land.
We can then bring the spirit of Christ to them so that he can be their wellspring where there was none.

Through drops of dew
the world is viewed
in ways not seen before
And through a child’s
unjaded eye
fresh worlds are held in store.
We pass the years
with clouded lens
bescarred by many sins
Oh, help us Lord
regain young eyes
and see You new again!

random propz lil guy…..!
Excellent! Heather’s and yours both!
Again Mr. Smallz Here Here
The Lord must give you these, Jim, there can’t be any other explanation for them. I’ve had sort of a bad day today and I’m going to the doctor tomorrow. And then this poem as well as Heather’s quote hit me hard. Because of how today went I’m questioning my life somewhat right now. I need to figure out what I want to be when I grow up….into the child you describe. in Him, Gerrie
Wow thanks so much for including my thoughts..it means a lot to me to know people are listening and that the Spirit of God is truely at work! Your peoms are so beautiful so deep. ~ heather
thanks man. i need to try and get a rough cut recording of it. it’s a pretty easy progression in a#. anyways, talk to ya later!

Good post, hope you are having a good day in the Lord!!
Mike
Thanks for your comments, Jim. The work situation is tough but I think I’ll make it. I just leave the ones alone that are trying to cause trouble. However, stealing stuff out of my mailbox at work stinks. I was given an assignment to do and didn’t know about it because it was taken out of my box.
RE: My daughter’s phone situation. I got her added to my family plan and got her another phone. I just don’t like her being out of contact. It didn’t cost that much more and I feel a lot better.
Great post! I hope you have a wonderful day.
Thank you for bringing Heather’s post to our attention…
..Again your poems are beautiful!!!
A hug,Jim…
Lucy
RYC: I just emailed the xanga team to let them know. Maybe they can get rid of them. They’re on a couple other sites. I wonder if my going there did that?
Hope not. Anyway, I’m off to work now.
PS: Am I really that easily insulted?
I really enjoyed that…so wonderful..Be blessed always
There has been a very serious accident…..I have an emergency prayer request…My son Dustin’s girlfriend Melissa’s Father Kenny was at work in S.C….he was on the 4th story of a new construction building…a disgruntled worker, went crazy with the crane and Kenny and 2 others were knocked from building. Kenny was lifeflighted this morning to Atlanta and the Doc’s already say he will never walk again…they may amputate his leg in the morning, once they get him in surgery and see just how bad the damage really is. The other workers are seriously hurt too, one has a broken neck and is not expected to live, the other…was crushed under the crane when it toppled over off the building. Please, if you will…get this pasted out and help get the prayers going for these men….Thank you and Be blessed always.
RYC: Thanks for asking about work. I think I’ll post something about it in a few minutes. It’s all good….as is your post here.
I’m taking suggestions for colors on my site. I need change – it’s the minor midlife crisis I’m experiencing just now
But one year closer to Home
Thanks….Be blessed always
Hi
Hello Jim. I’ve been meaning to thank you for stopping by and for signing up on the new forum. Your comments and encouraging words are always appreciated whether anything is ever said or not.
Oh, hi fishtree!
Hi Jim, on the orange globes, TheTheologiansCafe had a mention of it last night;
http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=TheTheologiansCafe
it’s apparently a promotion – for what I’m not sure, but you have to have Premium to get them off or block them. Sheila0405 also mentioned them. http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=sheila0405
Sorry, I went to bed with a migraine last night – surprise, surprise – and didn’t get up this morning until 10:30 and I’m feeling a bit disoriented today, so I’m not remembering any of what they said other than the above.
RYC: Yes, we can plan that. It’s a date!
I hope I get to read your post tomorrow. right now I’m rushed off to work. I have a Saturday off finally!
The basketballs are a promo for Sprite. Only classic sites are “plagued” with them…not premium users.
I guess I’ll have to go Premium. Well, at least I’ll be able to load a lot more pics.
RYC: for migraines, I start with 2 Alleve. If that doesn’t do it, Imitrex. I have a friend who takes Relapax and it works for her. The Imitrex has lots of nasty side effects. If you take them do not cut them in half. The SE are worse. Mine were chest pain, muscle pain. But those only came up after I’d used them awhile. The first ones didn’t do anything like that. I talked to my doc about switching some months ago, but he thought this would be best for me. He has migraines too, so I tend to trust him.
Dang, the one I had last night is coming back. But just the pain, not the light sensitivity or nausea. Clouded sensorium, yes. And I have to buzz off to work now. We’ll see if the Alleve helps. I never take Imitrex when I have to work. Yeah, it’s a pain if the Alleve doesn’t do it.
By the way, you recently spoke about Sufjan Stevens as I recall; did you see the_sentry‘s post?
For some reason, it is not wanting to let me add a hyperlink: that was supposed to have been http://www.xanga.com/the_sentry/431988225/item.html.
For migraines the best thing is a prescription thingie that has a barbituate and caffeine in it, and I’m not remembering what the stuff was called. It’s only for when you can come home and go to bed, tho. If I had to work, taking 3 Advil liqui-gels worked for me (but I’d have to take it with food so it didn’t hurt my stomache). I used to get them when I was going to school full-time, working full-time and taking care of an invalid. Once I graduated I didn’t get migraines much any more. Twice I got a migraine that didn’t hurt but it caused a kind of aphasia…scared me half to death, because if my cognitive skills go, I’m dead. My doctor sent me to a neurologist right away, and that’s who prescribed the above-described medicine.
Eeeek I’ll pray for you while you’re in Mexico. The last thing you need is pain while you’ve got TOOLS in your hand:) Well I was planning to pray for you anyway, but now I’ll pray about that part of the trip too…but weather isn’t too hot this time of year… has the cause of the migraines been found? Does your neck go out or is it stress or something?
Yeah, I know all about those desert temps. I spent 7 years in Phoenix and have lived in the So Cal desert for 6 years. It’s already 80 degrees here. I’m hoping I don’t have to turn the A/C on before May.
Thanks. I felt the need for change. Restless little thing that I am. I decided to go Premium, mostly so I could have more pics – which I need to look for more of!
Have a great day.
It’s the only poem that haunts me…..
Thanks.
BTW: Kate has an update. (I think I saw you over there)
Hi, I stopped by for the music (you know why from my email)…got one song to play but now it won’t play anything else…Corazon is the same way. Quizas lo eres arreglando ahora (2:52 am your time Sun/Mon)? Bendices, Gerrie
Happy Valentine’s day Jim. May God bless you with His love on this day of love=)!
Love in Christ,
Paul
