  • Been doing a little surfing around the Xanga world, and am so encouraged to find a growing, vibrant network of Christian believers therein. I am especially gratified to find a “prayer warriors” site developed by one young Xangan Check it out!

  • Jim, thanks so much for the comment.  I know that is a tough question and like you said takes a lot of sensitivity.  I hope if the question ever does come up (which it is likely to) I can keep a cool head and let God lead me in what to say.  Thank for the advice!  Have a great weekend!

  • Hi,

Thank you so much for commenting on my xanga. I just didnt want to offend luckycoin. But your comment encouraged me so thank you for taking the time to come visit and share that. Have a great day. I subscribed to you. God Bless you.

  • Jim..

thanks for your comments and insight as to what you have faced and are facing. As a Marriage & Family Therapist.. and as a Minister.. I have seen this happen, time and time again. I have started to hold my fello “Christian Counselors” and ministers accountible when it comes to pre-marital counseling. We have an obligation to the Body to make sure that they have the tools they need to suceed. Nothing irritates me more than a pastor who tells me that He doesn’t think pre-marital counseling should entail all that I do… or that they just “pray over them”. God called them to the ministry, not to be ignorant and I am afraid that it is in ignorance that many of these things are overlooked by those who are there to provide guidance and direction.

As for seeing parents “argue” .. children need to see that.. so that they can see that not everyone agrees, BUT.. how they can learn to overcome their disagreements and continue on. I have had so many people tell me that their parents “never” fault.. or if they did, “they never fought in front of us kids”… and they are living in a world of fantasy. It wil not hurt the children.. damage them emotionally or otherwise.. but help them to learn to cope with their future spouses and learn forgiveness and grace. I always told my son when his mom and I would have an arguement.. that the best part of the argument was “making up”.

I will be praying for YOUR family situation … and trusting God to give you peace, understanding and wisdom.

    In the Masters Service,

    Phil

  • I think that is a great idea, we need to lift each other up in prayer especially when here is a need.

  • Thank you.  That’s always nice to hear.  I just wanted to share my story cause people don’t seem to get it.  Thanks for your support.  Have a nice day :)

  • Got to love Xanga. So many different people.

  • I think that she wanted it to be true but she didn’t think it was. She never seemed to believe it.

  • Thanks Bro Jim, I appreciate your kind words, we serve an awesome God, it’s great to meet so many new Brothers and Sisters in the Lord on xanga…God Bless you!!

  • That prayer site is awesome, isn’t it?

  • I think I have broken that record once… Although I may have slept through some of it….

  • Hi Jim,

    Thanks for your comment..

I read your posts and comments here and there…They’re good..

I read what you wrote on Phil’s page about making an extra effort to save a relationship “before”…
Yes, sometimes we have to go that extra mile and at times even two..Though it might seem tiring..I really believe the effort is much worth it…So like you said: Whoever is still on time to nourish the beautiful Gift that God gives us through a relationship.. I sincerely pray they WILL WANT to start  yesterday..Not wait till tomorrow…

    Wishing you a GREAT WEEK..

    A hug,

    Lucy

  • Hello Jim Thanks for commenting on my site. I agree, I am also encouraged to see such a vibrant group of people that love God and each other. God bless you! Good music by the way

  • Jim, thanks for your comments.

    God bless!!

  • Jim..

Bless you my brother. Thanks for the comments you left, and sorry I wasn’t able to get back sooner than now. My weekends are pretty busy and tied up.. so I rarely get to get on the site and comment back. People don’t realize their comments often add to the content of what the writer was saying.. but it does. You have touched others just by your comments [ ^see above^ ] and in the process, been a blessing. Thanks !

Listen… if you get a chance.. would you do me a favor.. would you drop by my sons site at http://www.xanga.com/wordflyerjosh and just leave him a comment about the most recent poem he wrote as well as encourage him and pray for him as he continues to prepare to serve the Lord as a Missionary Aviator. It would mean so much to me.. and certainly make his day. Thanks!

Your friend and Brother in the Lord,

    Phil

  • Hi Jim, thank you for visiting my xanga and taking the time to leave a comment. Since, I just received a ton of comments from people I do not know, I decided I should write an introduction to me for people to read. I hope to see your comments again in the future. BTW, you’re site is lovely. keep it real, yo.
