I’m thankful for so many things
There seems too little time
To share them all in prose or poem
But here’s my simple rhyme.
I’m thankful for the things I have;
For clothing and for bread,
I’m thankful for my friends and kin
And shelter o’er my head.
I also, Lord, give thanks to you
For what I do NOT own;
For where I’m weak ’tis there, it seems,
My need for You is shown.
So for my plenty, Lord my God
I give you thanks and praise,
And for my weaknesses as well
My hands to You I raise.
I thank you, Father, in my life
For all that you have done,
Yet save my deepest, richest praise
For sending us Your Son.

Happy Thanksgiving, Jim.
Happy Thanksgiving Jim. Thank you for all the edifying and uplifting posts. I believe the Lord extends something of Himself through His people, and our words through cyber space can be a vehicle by which He blesses. Your life is obviously given over to our Lord. May you know His rest, His joy, His love and many more riches from His hand.
wow, thanks for the great music….I would love to have names and artists also so that I can buy some of them!!
happy thanksgiving to you, too, glad to see it’s not to busy back there.
Thanks so much for the names.I am surely enjoying having my kids home from college for Thanksgiving!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!!!
What a great poem! That says it all! I hope you and your family has a great Thanksgiving!
Hope you and yours are having a great Thanksgiving.
What a lovely poem – very inspired!
That poem worked with the background you have. No, when I said that religeous people drove me mad, what I really meant was religeous properganda. The people are fine.
thanx for your comment! I love being in school…but i hate thats its in ohio and away from friends and family…oddly enough i do miss the ICU

RYC: Indeed Jim; quite a discussion! Interesting to see how different people view things, even the thought-out-loud question itself, and to see the different reactions to that.
Thanks for seeing that thought for what it was
…..
I really liked a brief comment I just read on Gothabilly’s site “The grave answers all things.” True it is, but I am not willing to wait. My prayer is: Draw me closer to the flame, until all that is hay, wood, and stubble burns away and I can see clearly in the light of Truth.
Hmm. Things have definitely changed around Xanga since I’ve last been by! If your latest profile picture is any indication, you have not only mulitiplied but grown quite a bit more attractive while you were at it.
Hi Jim. Just stopped by to say hi.
